Easy Hardware Setup Guide
For non-technical owners setting up a receipt printer and cash drawer.
Connect a generic receipt printer
- Install it using its Windows driver or Add Printer.
- Print a Windows test page first.
- Load matching 58mm or 80mm receipt paper.
- Click Print on a KAYA receipt and select that printer.
- Set margins to Minimum/None and scale to Fit.
Connect a cash drawer through the receipt printer
- Plug the drawer cable into the printer port marked DK, Drawer, or Cash Drawer.
- Open Business, Payment & Drawer Settings.
- Select Network ESC/POS for a printer IP, or Serial/COM for COM3/COM4.
- Try Drawer 1 first, then Drawer 2.
- Click Test Drawer before enabling automatic open.
- If it fails, ask the printer supplier for its ESC/POS drawer pulse and port settings.
